iGO8

I'm thinking of getting the iGO8 software and loading it into my Mio (I own a C310 and C320). There are some deals for a new GPS with iG) software. I lovemy Mio but do not like what Mio Corp has done by changing the SW to a slower less capable type. The Asus 300 is a very nice device.

But before you throw away your old equipment, maybe i can make a suggestion.

Nowadays i use an E-Ten M700, which is a pda / phone / gps-unit with IGO 8 installed on a 8Gb sd card.
This way i always carry my navigational device with me.

About a week ago my wife needed to go abroad so i decided to pull out the goold old C710.

Looking at it it felt quite outdated, so i decided to give it a second life.
I completely erased miomap and its maps from "My Flash Disk", compiled a new unlock compilation on my sd card and installed IGO 8 on in "My Flash Disk".

I even changed the official mainshell with the six shortcuts. The mainshell is much easier for my wife to handle.
