C230 SD Card

I just purchased a C230 last week and I am still learning how to use all of the features available. I do have a question about the function of the sd card. Can I transfer all of the state maps to the card and have the Mio read off of the card?
The reason I am asking is that I added some extra poi's and had to remove some states due to the small flash memory.
What other uses are there for the sd card? The manual does not elaborate on the purpose of the card but only the location and how to insert and remove.

I really don't know.  I've moved half my states to my SD card as I don't travel west much, then I've also cut my POI's and SpeedCam files in half, straight down the middle of the US.  I created a script for an autoloader that will copy back to a East folder all my East stuff, then write in the West info, along with moving the state maps back and forth.  I keep all that on my SD, so my Mio only runs with about 20 states most of the time.  Others just aren't needed and why waste mem putting them in there.

Anyway, I'm not familiar enough with your model to tell whether that works on your's too.  I had to write a small script that's executed at boot telling the MIo where my maps are, maybe you need to do the same?  Mine's part of the autounlock, which I know works different on your model, so my script wouldn't help you any.
