Hi, very nice pictures, I was actually going to take pictures my self but was too lazy  Cool , anyways I did take your advise and bought the battery from megacapacity.com http://www.megacapacity.com/17389.html , this is my second purchase from them as I just installed one battery for my friend who was crying to me that his c310x does not hold charge and he did not get a new one for xmas .

It's really nothing personal...

Thanks.  I was glad to do it.  I hope they helped and will continue to help others who do the swap.  I'm guessing MIO uses the same battery for all of their smaller GPSs (310, 220, 230) and maybe a larger one for the 510/520/720 series.

Might be interesting to find out if they use more than one battery.

Bringing back this thread from the dead....my trusty Mio c310x (from 2006 - updated to run Igo 8.3 with Dec 2009 maps - gotta love this little hackable unit) looks like (and is acting like) it needs a new battery (at least I hope that's all it is).

I ordered a new battery from ebay this morning...this guide will be invaluable in helping me swap out the old and insert the new one.  Thanks for taking the time to document the process and post it here.

Let me know how it goes, how much you spent, and what ebay store you got it from. I'm needing two of these cotton pickin things now myself.  Great to see you around here again!
