Important Disclaimer 3 - maybe the most important disclaimer of all:
Read this post - because the things we show on this site are things Mio and i-Go never intended their units to do.
Following the instructions on any of the pages within this site could easily turn your Mio into a paperweight. The designers of the software and hardware never intended for you to be able to get "inside" the Mio and start modifying things. If you don't believe this, just look through your instruction manual - there is nothing there.
So - go forward at your own risk, knowing full well that we warned you and that some member (or reader) of these postings will completely ruin his or her Mio. We just sincerely hope it isn't you.
The owners, administrators, moderators, members and guests cannot be liable or responsible if something goes wrong with your Mio (or anything else) due to anything posted here.
Last but not least, use common sense. If you are not comfortable moving files around on your PC, don't try hacking your Mio. Remember, the internet is a pretty anonymous place, some joker might deliberately post something that he or she knows to be damaging. If someone states, "Deleting the Windows directory on your Mio will make it faster and more accurate and improve your gas mileage" - and you believe them and follow their advice - then please send us a photo of your ex-GPS unit.
And - do we even need to say it?
- back up your files before attempting any modification or hack.Input provided by AppleTomLastly - I'm not a know it all, and I surely don't have all the answers, this is why this forum is here, to not only provide what I think I know, but to garner more knowledge from our kind visitors and members!
