I wanted to share with our guests and members the thoughts I put into our registration agreement, discuss COPPA, and our disclaimer. The Registration Agreement is what you see, and agree to when you register here on these forums. For those of you who are Guests and have not registered, I would appreciate you at least reading through this agreement and familiarizing yourself with it as this is also our site's disclaimer, and it details our intent regarding COPPA. I'll discuss that after the agreement.

On COPPA, we take the protection of children's rights on the internet very seriously. COPPA is the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, and basically it is their bill of rights and should be respected. We don't mind if children wish to peruse our forums, as a matter of fact we look forward to their input. However, for a child to register on a web (in the US that is), there are very specific instructions on protecting their privacy that include parental permission for children 13 and under.
